The Aviation Weather app is a reliable and essential tool for both pilots and aerospace enthusiasts. With its straightforward interface and extensive features, it provides accurate and up-to-date information for over 9500 airports worldwide.

One of the key features of the app is the METAR-Reader, which decodes and presents the current METARs for each airport. This allows users to quickly assess the VFR or IFR conditions with the help of a simple color coding system. For more advanced users, the app also offers the option to view NATO Color State codes.

Another useful feature is the automatic calculation of runway crosswind components based on the current METAR. This ensures that pilots have all the necessary information to make informed decisions about take-offs and landings.

Furthermore, the app includes a customizable widget that can display either decoded METAR or raw METAR / TAF. This makes it easy to access the desired information at a glance.

In addition to its weather features, the app also provides access to NOTAM for each weather station. These NOTAMs are downloaded and partially decoded, allowing users to quickly identify new and relevant updates.

In terms of usability, the app allows users to search for new weather stations worldwide by ICAO or IATA codes, airport name, or city. The user-defined groups feature enables quick access to commonly used routes or alternate airports. Additionally, there is an auto-managed group that always presents nearby weather stations.

For those who prefer using the app at night, there is a dark theme option that can be activated manually or automatically based on your Android version.
